What is Galen Myotherapy?
In this video, Nicola Wreford explains the dog physical therapy 'galen myotherapy' and how it can help in the treatment of many dog veterinary problems.
Nicola Wreford is a qualified Myotherapist. Myotherapy is a massage therapy based on human Swedish Massage. In this video, Nicola talks about how she discovered this natural therapy when looking for a non invasive therapy to help her 5 year old lurcher, Murphy, who she felt had a muscular imbalance that impaired his ability to perform well in Showing, Agility and enjoying exercise in general.
She details what a qualification in Myotherapy entails and tells of how she helped one of her case studies, a Gundog called Ted, to overcome a back injury. Finally, she looks at how the healing properties of Myotherapy can reduce pain, benefit joint problems and help dogs to avoid many problems occurring in the first place.
