Veterinary X-rays

Length: 13:29
In this video, Vet Reena Patel from Medivet (Pinner), explains what X-rays are and why they are used.

She demonstrates how they are undertaken so that only the required area of the patient is exposed to X-ray to minimise any potential risks and to ensure that the best possible 3D structure gets represented on the 2D image.

X-rays are in various shades of grey, black and white, and Reena tells us what the different shades are likely to show.

Finally, she explains the difference between X-rays, ultra-sound, MRI and CT scans.
