In this video, holistic alternative veterinary surgeon, Richard Allport (B.Vet. Med.,Vet.M.F.Hom., M.R.C.V.S) tells about some of his case studies including acupuncture, herbal remedies and homeopathy.
He explains how by using acupuncture he rescued Kai, a Dogue De Bordeaux, from being put to sleep due to 'wobbler's syndrome' - a rather distressing illness for both dog and owner. A fantastic example of a dog helped dramatically with only a few sessions of acupuncture.
Richard then tells us of Alfie the Briard who was able to overcome his colitis and completely come off his daily 40mg of steroids with a prescription of herbal supplements and homeopathy.
Lastly, Richard tells us about George, a Labrador with epilepsy and explains how, with a combination of acupuncture and homeopathic and herbal prescriptions, his epileptic fits reduced dramatically, even allowing him to come off his conventional medication and feel a whole lot happier!
