How raw feeding helped an itchy dog
In this video, holistic alternative veterinary surgeon, Nick Thompson, explains how a raw food diet helped one itchy dog.
Nick Thompson (BSc (Vet Sci) Hons, BVM&S, VetMFHom, MRCVS) explains his experiences of how processed food can aggravate skin and bowel diseases and how a raw meat diet can suddenly improve skin and bowel issues.
It can come as a surprise to a lot of dog owners that something so simple as a change of diet can have such a positive effect on their dog; none more so than those in the veterinary profession who are used to seeing dogs helped by medication. In this interesting video, Nick explains how he helped a local vet nurse, who had tried a number of different diets, to stop her dog's itchiness. It took Nick some persuading to encourage her to change to a raw food diet but, within 48 hours, the veterinary nurse was amazed by the improvements in her dog's skin and also noted some positive behavioural changes in the dog too.
