Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer
Sue Hancock is the current Secretary of the Slovakian Rough Haired Pointer Club in the UK. She tells us what they are like to live with: their personalities, how much grooming they need, how much exercise they need (with a few words of warning), and how best to approach their training.
The Slovak was bred to be both a working and a companion dog. If new owners don't want to go hunting with their Slovak, Sue tells us what other sporting activities they might consider as this is a breed that likes to exercise both body and brain.
They are generally healthy and a very rare breed outside their native Slovakia. Sue tells us what the UK club are doing to ensure the breed stays healthy.
