Preventing inappropriate mounting behaviour
Sexual behaviour is a perfectly normal function for dogs. However, it is a behaviour that is not always going to be welcomed.
It may cause offence to other dog owners for your dog to show such an interest in theirs and it is certainly not desirable when the point of focus is an inanimate object or, worse still, someone's leg!
Dr Ian Dunbar has a simple solution to this problem that he is happy to share. He also answers queries about why female dogs mount and why some dogs seem more inclined than others to exhibit this kind of behaviour.
