Preventing dog bites in children
Kerstin Meints is a psychologist based at Lincoln University, and has been researching dog bites in children since 2005.
Using the 'Blue Dog' DVD as a basis, her research aims to see if providing education to children about dog behaviour and signals can help them to stay more safe around their pets.
In this article Kerstin gives us some dog bite statistics, and talks about her the research into keeping children safe around dogs. We also hear from one parent whos 4-year old boy Rufus is taking part in the research.
