P.A.T. dogs in action
Pets As Therapy works with approximately 5000 volunteers who visit people in establishments such as hospices, care homes, hospitals and special needs schools with their Pets As Therapy Dogs and Cats. In this video, we find out what typically happens at one of these visits and why people want to be involved.
We hear from Sylvia Sanderson, one of the volunteers, with her dog, Hetty, about the pleasure she gains from volunteering.
We also hear from Maurice Averille and Matthew Davies, some of the people she visits, about what it's like receiving a visit from Hetty and why they enjoy it so much.
