No-pull dog harness - Part 1
A problem faced by many dog owners is having a dog that pulls on the lead. To train your dog to walk nicely with you, you need to teach them that a) pulling doesn't get any rewards (such as moving forwards) and b) that walking with you is much more fun! However, some dogs are so used to pulling, or so strong on lead that this training can be difficult to start.
Caroline Spencer from Pure Dog Listeners
has one solution. She invented a lead called the Happy At Heel Harness designed as a training aid to tackle exactly this problem, giving the dog a different 'message' through the lead and enabling the owner to have more control, ready to put the training into place.
In this video, Caroline shows us how to introduce the harness in the safe confines of indoors and explains why it is often better to start the training inside. She then shows how to approach the door and take those first few steps outside.
