My dog is my baby
Over the past 20 years or so, the dog's role in our lives has changed dramatically. In the past, they would have been used much more as a working animal, but the upsurge in the popularity of dogs as pets has meant that they have become much more a part of the family, and a companion.
This can go too far however, and some people end up treating their dog as a fellow human instead of as a dog. This is called Anthropomorphism, and can be unhealthy for both dog and human.
In this article, Victoria Stilwell explains this phenomenon in detail and explains what you can do about it.
