How to use a dog calming cap
The Calming Cap may be an odd looking piece of equipment but according to Toni Shelbourne, Tellington Touch Practitioner, it can be a valuable training aid.
It was developed in the USA by Dog Trainer Trish King as a way to deal with dogs who have an extreme reaction to visual stimulus. It doesn't stop a dog from seeing, but it blurs their vision so the visual aspects of things going on around them are less intense.
In this video, Toni explains how the Calming Cap works, how to fit it and how to introduce it to a dog in a safe way.
