The latest guidelines for dog vaccinations were published in 2010 by the World Small Animal Veterinary Association. In this video, Nick Thompson explains the guidelines, including how they they are based on scientific fact and override all other previous guidelines.
Nick looks at the pros and cons of vaccinations, of nosodes and the reliability of titre testing for immune response.
He mentions the new findings that 'starting again' if a dog misses vaccines has no basis in scientific studies and answers some common questions such as 'Why do dogs have to have annual vaccinations when we do not?'
Nick also mentions some interesting notes on 'toy dog' breeds and their response to the leptospirosis vaccine.
