All dogs will need grooming or at least bathing at some point in their lives and some breeds more than others. Once a puppy has completed its second set of booster injections, around the age of 12 weeks, it is safe to take them to a grooming parlour, or you can groom them yourself at home from even younger. Even if they might not need grooming, it is probably a good idea to carry some out at this early stage to get the puppy used to it to make it easier when the dog is an adult.
Dog Groomer, Trevor Pearman, shows us what techniques and equipment to use to groom safely and in a way that puts a puppy at ease. The sight of Lacey practically falling asleep as she is bathed suggests that she is very happy with the process already.
