In this video, we visit Lorna, who lives with quadriplegia, and her Canine Partner Eli to find out how much difference having an assistance dog can make to disabled people.
At the time of this interview, Lorna had been partnered with Eli, a yellow labrador, for around 3 years. Their partnership is a great showcase for the amazing work of the charity Canine Partners that trained and supplied Eli.
In this article, Lorna shows us how Eli helps her day-to-day, enabling her to have a huge amount of independence. Lorna has her own website called Smooth Wheels which helps disabled people to find PAs/carers permanently, or for emergency and holiday cover, and has an accessible social venues section.
