Bill Bailey and BARC

Length: 9:59
Comedian Bill Bailey is a regular visitor to Indonesia. Over the years, he has accumulated a veritable menagerie of rescue animals from this part of the world. Amongst his treasures are three Balinese dingo dogs that he rescued through BARC, the Bali Adoption and Rehabilitation Centre.

In this video, he tells us about the personalities of these dogs and why they especially appeal to him. He also talks about some of the challenges of rescuing a dog from overseas.

BARC is a dog refuge centre set up six years ago. This organisation, run by volunteers takes in abandoned, neglected and injured dogs, nurses them back to health and tries to find good homes for them.

When Bill first started going to Indonesia, fifteen years ago, dogs were often neglected. BARC have been largely responsible for a change in the fortune of these animals. Bill tells us about some of the ways this dedicated charity has achieved this.
