Assured Breeders Scheme
Bill Lambert is the Manager of the Health and Breeder Services division of The Kennel Club in the UK. They look after the Assured Breeders Scheme. This was set up around 2004 and sets standards for breeders by setting a minimum level of good breeding practise.
In this video, he tells us about the Assured Breeders scheme and the role it has played in helping with dog health. The scheme covers testing for hereditary diseases and areas such as the conditions the puppies are kept in.
It provides the reassurance to potential dog owners that the breeders who qualify for this scheme are doing all they can to deliver happy, healthy puppies.
